RIP Jeff Healey

He's always been one of my favourites. Unique style, unique talent. And he always faced his challenges in life with a great sense of humour.

I usually don't tear up at the loss of people I've never met, but this one is hitting me.

I was saddened by the news. His supporting role in Road House notwithstanding, I always saw him as a real class act. Rest in peace, Jeff.

I second your comments, Krankor and Sporko. This is a huge loss for a lot of people who never met Jeff Healey.

I had to drive to Halifax yesterday for a few hours, and the news of Healey's death was dominating every radio station. On the way home, a couple of stations that usually don't play jazz put a couple of Jeff Healey's jazz pieces on. He was really a remarkable musician.
